About us

It is our mission to improve the lives of young people. We do this by offering bespoke activities and awards for young people up to the age of 25 years, giving them the skills and confidence they need to succeed in life.
Our outcomes are particularly focused on helping young people who face significant barriers in their lives. The Association is based in Perth, and has been delivering unique learning experiences to young people for many years, at locations throughout Perth & Kinross, including Megginch Castle Estate, Dupplin Estate, and the Gannochy Trust.

Colour has played an integral role in our world from essentially the dawn of time. Annually on 21st March, International Colour Day celebrates all aspects of colour and the impact it has on our lives. This event encourages people to think about how colour makes our world a better place. 🎨

Our ‘Painting For Everyone’ module invites you to immerse yourself in colouring. In this module, you will complete a painting using a paint by numbers kit. On completion, you will have created a piece of art that you can give as a gift to someone special or you can put this on display at home.

This module can be used for your #DofE Bronze, Silver or Gold skill sectional certificate.

With the generous support from the @charityspoon, we are renovating a World War 2 Prisoner of War Nissen Hut at Cultybraggan Camp in Comrie, Perthshire. This amazing space will provide independent living skills, residential and respite opportunities with full disabled access for young people with additional support needs, helping build confidence, independence, and brighter futures.

A huge thank you to The Wooden Spoon for making this possible and helping us reach even more vulnerable young people in need.

Global Recycling Day is an annual event that aims to raise awareness of the importance of recycling and encourage people to take action to reduce waste and protect the environment.

Our Helping Save Our World module was created after the urgency of blending #DofE with taking action against climate change. 🌏

This is a one-of-a-kind module that encourages you to learn about climate change, to be inspired by other young people taking action and to make a difference in your daily routines through your actions.

This week’s featured #DofE module, is Yoga. This course will provide you with an overview and practical application of a variety of Yoga styles found in the Hatha yoga family.

This 12 week course can be used for the Bronze, Silver and Gold physical DofE section.

When you sign up, you will learn about the history of Yoga, interesting facts about this subject and how you can integrate your own Yoga practice at home into your everyday schedule.

The United Nations World Wildlife Day takes place

The United Nations World Wildlife Day takes place annually on 3rd March to celebrate wild animals and plants. Every year, this important event recognises the unique roles and contributions that wildlife gives to both people and the planet. 🐻

If you are looking for a zoological way to volunteer from the comfort of your home in honour of World Wildlife Day, you could sign up for our Zooniverse module featured within the Volunteering section of our Distance Learning Hub (link in our bio). 🐧

Zooniverse will help you to find projects from around the world within all areas that interest wildlife lovers. 🌎

If you would like to do this module for your #DofE, you must volunteer for 1 hour every week on a Zooniverse project of your choice or you could choose to participate in a different project each week instead. You can do this for up to 12 or 24 weeks depending on what award you are currently working towards achieving.

The program fosters a sense of belonging, encourages teamwork, and helps young people experience the calming and restorative effects of spending time in nature. 💚

By nurturing both their physical and mental wellbeing, the group aims to empower young people to navigate challenges in a healthy and constructive way. 💪
