Advanced Yoga
Distance Learning Hub by the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Perth & Kinross SCIO
A 12-week course designed and provided by Perth and Kinross DofE Association suitable for the Bronze, Silver and Gold sectional certificate.
Advanced Yoga challenges you to get out of your comfort zone and to grow physically and mentally though Yoga and Pranayama. If you have a regular Yoga practice and/or have taken the Beginner’s Yoga module, this is an intermediate level Yoga for you!
This advanced Yoga module contains 12 weeks of material. You’ll learn each Yoga style for two weeks.
The first week is to read about the history of Yin Yoga and to practice a matching breathing technique. The second week is to read about the benefits and to practice this yoga style with a guided video.
Weekly reflection can be noted down in the Lotus log (found in the resource tab of this module). This can be for yourself or as evidence for your DofE sectional certificate.
