Distance Learning Hub by the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Perth & Kinross SCIO

A 24-week course designed and provided by Perth and Kinross DofE Association SCIO suitable for the Silver or Gold sectional certificate.

Have your cake and eat it too!

In this module you will learn about healthy eating – how this relates to your overall well-being and how to cook delicious, wholesome food. You will learn the basics of vegetarian and vegan nutrition and how to use this knowledge to create your own healthy dishes. In addition, healthy nutrition is not only the food you eat, but also your mindset with what you eat, cook and your relationship to food – you will learn more about this while you go along. You will learn about organic, local produce and superfoods.

As you go along you will take notes either in the provided Healthy Eating Diary or in your own files. By completing this course, you will not only be rewarded with a D of E certificate but also with a recipe book that guides you further on your Mission Nutrition and gets you swinging the pots to cook for/with family and friends (if in-person or virtually).

Activities include:

Social Cooking
