Raising Awareness for Hidden Disabilities

Distance Learning Hub by the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Perth & Kinross SCIO

DofE Youth Ambassadors have created a 13-week plan with resources that can be used to raise awareness and funds for ‘hidden disabilities’.

Amelia, one of the creators says: “Myself and the team have created a Volunteering Toolkit for a Bronze DofE Participant to follow and we decided to focus on ‘hidden disabilities’. Our generation does not have enough exposure or understanding of hidden disabilities, so we’ve designed a 13-week plan for any Bronze participant to follow with the aim of raising funds for a hidden disabilities charity or raising awareness in their local community.”

Volunteer for 1 hour every week with the plan outlined. You can extend the work on this depending on what Award you are completing.

The Distance Learning Hub is accessible to all. However, some of our courses and modules require specific resources. Anyone who enrolls with the PK Dofe Association will be provided with those resources for free. To enroll or ask any questions please click the “Get Support” button above.

We constantly try to improve our modules on the Distance Learning Hub to provide you with the best learning experience possible. If you have a couple of minutes, we would really appreciate some feedback on this module!
