About the site
Many of the activities take place on the grounds of Megginch Castle. An amazing place that only we have access to. Young people can be on the grounds of a castle estate where they can be safe and learn new skills. We even have our own shelter with a firepit where we sit, eat, talk and chill.
We offer a unique variety of activities, that are not commonly found in other projects, such as woodworking, bushcraft, making smudging sticks, building bird feeders and paddleboarding.

“I see the Starfish Way like a glowing silver thread of hope for some children who find the world dark and difficult. When I describe the Starfish Way Initiative to visitors, they also are touched by this silver thread of hope. In this world, you cannot help everyone nor change everything, but you can do something which will help someone.”

About the site
To meet increasing demand, we are opening a second site as an activity center, residential and respite facility at the Cultybraggan World War II Prisoner of War Camp development.
Our plans to renovate the large, double sized hut include overnight accommodation, and disabled access toilets and shower facilities with specialist equipment for those with physical and additional support needs.

About the site
With generous support from the Lottery Community Fund, we are thrilled to announce the opening of our Community Hub at the Award Office in Scone – a warm and safe space for young people and their families.
As well as a base for Starfish Way and Duke of Edinburgh’s Award activities, we are extending the use of this multi-use space and its facilities to other local groups. The flexible space with comfortable seating for informal gatherings also includes laptops, phones and digital connectivity, kindly provided by the Digital Lifelines Fund The Community Hub can also accommodate other health and wellbeing activities including yoga and meditation, cookery and arts and crafts.
