By using our services and providing us with your personal information we will assume your acceptance of the practices outlined in our Privacy Statement below.

The Perth & Kinross Duke of Edinburgh’s Association takes the keeping of personal information private and protected very seriously for everyone associated with the Charity – participants, volunteers, partners, committee members, association employees and those who support our work.

We will ensure that your personal information is secure so that your confidentiality is maintained. We will not share your information with third parties without your consent. We will only use your information to communicate information to help you participate in DofE, support volunteers and to tell you about activities which may be of interest to you or benefit your groups by email. This includes advising of DofE events or training opportunities, news updates or announcements. We will also use it for the purposes of payment and invoicing. You can opt out at any time by emailing admin@pkdofe.com with ‘OPT OUT’ in the subject line or by phoning 01738 627455. Please bear in mind that if you object, this may affect our ability to carry out the tasks above which may be of benefit to you.

We may collect data through information you input on our web site or when you interact with us, for example, to answer an enquiry,throughbooking of the minibus or kit or as part of Association fundraising activity. We may ask you to provide us with personal information on a voluntary basis, the purpose of which will be identified at the time.

For the purposes of fundraising, we use information such as statistical details of volunteer training, participant feedback, and numbers of participants undertaking the Award in Perth & Kinross. The Perth & Kinross Duke of Edinburgh’s Association will never disclose any information that identifies you personally to any third party. The exception to this would only ever be if we were legally required to do so. We may pass your information to our trusted third-party service providers and other associated organisations who are authorised to work on our behalf, for example to process donations and send you mailings. We disclose only the personal information that is necessary to deliver the service, for example your bank details to issue payments.

The Association website may have links to other websites including partners and outside organisations. An external link transfers you out of our website and into the website of the organisation or company that you have selected. At this point, The Perth & Kinross Duke of Edinburgh Associations Privacy Policy will no longer apply, and the responsibility of their privacy practices lies with that organisation. We would strongly encourage you to read their Privacy Statement before divulging any personal information.

The GDPR gives you the right to access your personal data. This also allows you to make changes to or delete any of such information we hold. Should you wish to see any personal data we hold, please email admin@pkdofe.com. An administration charge of £10 will be applicable.

Safeguarding Your Information

Whenever we process data for the purposes above we will ensure that we always keep your Personal Data rights in the highest regard and take into account all of your data protection rights under any and all current UK legislation.

The Perth & Kinross Duke of Edinburgh’s Association staff are aware of their responsibilities to your personal data, keep the information safe and for authorised use only. Your information will be stored in a locked drawer or filing cabinet, where electronically stored this will be to the Cloud, password protected and memory sticks where required will be encrypted.

Should personal data be accidentally lost, modified or destroyed, you will be notified immediately and a data breach reported in accordance with GDPR regulations.
