Advanced Yoga challenges you…
…to get out of your comfort zone and to grow physically and mentally though Yoga and Pranayama. If you have a regular Yoga practice and/or have taken the Beginner’s Yoga module, this is an intermediate level Yoga for you!
The Yoga module has been so popular on our Distance Learning Hub that we are happy to share with you our new course: Advanced Yoga.
This module builds on from the first Yoga course. Over the next 12 weeks you will not only have the opportunity to grow physically, but also mentally through mindful exercises and journaling.
The advanced Yoga can be combined with the Yoga module to use for your Silver DofE physical section or used alone for the Bronze DofE physical section.
What you will learn
This Advanced Yoga module contains 12 weeks of material. You’ll learn each Yoga style for two weeks.
For example, the first week you will read about the history of Yin Yoga and practice a matching breathing technique. The second week you will read about the benefits of Yin Yoga and practice this style with a guided video.
Weekly reflection can be noted down in the Lotus Log (found in the resource tab of this module). The Lotus Log can be used for yourself or as evidence for your DofE sectional certificate.
